Is-sinjal għal ŻEBBUĠ GĦAWDEX għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir isir is-sinjal għal ŻEBBUĠ. L-id tieħu l-forma ta’ Q jew C żgħira, Dan huwa s-sinjal għal ŻEBBUĠA. L-id timxi ’l isfel f’linja żigużajg forma ta’ Z. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal GĦAWDEX. Id waħda fil-forma ta’ U u bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id taqbeż ’il fuq u ’l isfel mill-polz waqt li l-id timxi ’l barra. Dan il-moviment ifakkar fil-moviment tal-vapur t’Għawdex.
The sign for ZEBBUG GOZO has two parts. (i) First the sign for ZEBBUG is made. One hand takes the shape of Q or small C. This is the sign for OLIVE. The hand moves down in a zigzag line in the shape of Z. (ii) Then the sign for GOZO is made. One hand takes the shape of U with the palm facing downwards. The hand jumps up and down from the wrist whilst it moves along outwards. This reminds one of the movement of the Gozo ferry.
